Ni-howdy!!!
A common phrase that comes out of the mouth of the star of this next member's feature. Kyle AKA “Nurse Moy” is our very own in-house RN. One of the most incredible things about Kyle is that he is the master at finding DEALS!! He always seems to find big-money parts for the low, whether its wheels, bucket seats, or carbon fiber pieces for his Civic Si (but in all honesty, anyone can find these deals if the first thing you do when you wake up is check FB Marketplace…). He is well known in the group to be cheap and willing to do anything to get the price lower. What gets him excited on posts is the infamous “OBO” words at the bottom. This is where he shines and his skills of negotiation come into play, with of course a little bit of lowballing. While “Nurse Moy” professionally heals people he’s no slouch when it comes to his automotive mechanic skills. If he’s not busy saving lives he is either in the garage fixing his neighbor's P.O.S TSX or at an Autocross event trying to beat his previous lap times. Besides being addicted to FB Marketplace, Kyle is an avid car enthusiast, a lover of big back activities, and enjoys being carried to the dub in League Of Legends.
A quick overview of Kyle’s automotive journey starts back to his teen days where he bought his first car, a 2006 Scion TC. Kyle started his build with the tilty wheels look which caused him to go -11 camber. Throughout the years, he changed his build style from stancey to more of a track build. The TC showcased a combination of rare “flex” parts and performance upgrades that definitely caught the attention of the other members of the TC community for its unique but flavorful build (mostly because it was the only TC around with a flower livery). Some notable mentions include the Kaminari Rear Spoiler, Seibon TS carbon hood, Brembo Grab Turismo BBK, Hotchkis front and rear sway bar, while sitting on some pressed graphite Te37SL. Unfortunately in 2020, the TC had run its course, after blowing the motor, rebuilding the motor himself, and it blowing up again 6 months later… It gave Kyle the push to part ways with the TC and step into a platform that could satisfy his inner “HONDA BOI”.
Kyle’s automotive journey did not end there. He then purchased a stock 2013 Honda Civic Si with the plans to turn it into a track car. With that in mind, he threw on a big carbon fiber wing and bucket seats right away because “race car” things. With these aero upgrades, came the Kraftwerks supercharger which pushed his car over the 350 hp mark. His track days all started after a few weekends at AutoX at Evergreen Speedway where he brought home 2 trophies. GO KYLE!!! This experience led him to do numerous track days at the Ridge, Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit, and Mission Raceway. He was able to learn all about the ingenuity of driving fast, but with great power comes great responsibility. Unfortunately the Civic crashed on the track and was rendered undrivable for many months but that did not deter his strong will. He rebuilt the car and was able to attend more track days like nothing happened. Kyle is someone who does not give up and is willing to weather the storm.
At the end of the day, it is clear that Kyle has built some great cars, but more importantly, he’s a great friend and a core member of the Kimoji Style team. He is often one of the guys running the booth at events/shows, aids in packaging inventory/merchandise, and continuously works to expand and improve the Kimoji Style brand.
Feel free to say hi if you ever see him at a show, and remind him that he has the quickest car in his neighborhood.
